See Jane Skate

The competition will take place on Saturday, August 8th 2009 at Westside Recreation Centre (2000 69th Street) on the outdoor concrete skatepark. Registration begins at 11:30am, the competition starts at Noon and will be completed by 4:00pm.

Each contestant shall be placed in either an under-17 or an over-18 category, depending on her age. She will then have the opportunity to complete two runs; one in the first half of the competition and one in the second half. Each run will be one minute long and can incorporate any part of the skatepark. ALL SKILL LEVELS ARE WELCOME! Contestants will be judged on style, originality and skill. A final score will be averaged from each run and prizes will be awarded at the end of the event. Every girl who enters gets a prize!

COMPETITION RULES

1. Each contestant must pay a $5.00 entry fee, which can be paid at registration from 11:30am to noon on Saturday, August 8th.
2. Each contestant must sign a Waiver before participating in any portion of the competition. If you are under 18 years of age, you must have a parent/guardian sign for you. The form may be downloaded for print off below.
3. Each contestant shall wear the required safety gear while participating in the competition. HELMETS ARE MANDATORY.
4. Each contestant shall abide by all of the safety rules and regulations of the park, and by all further rules and regulations of the competition as outlined by See Jane Skate and Westside Recreation Centre.
5. Have fun and rip it up!
